DAACI Invited to Give Insight at PRS For Music Events

DAACI had the privilege of participating in two significant events hosted by PRS for Music, where we showcased our commitment to integrating AI with music creation in a way that centers around the human artist.

PRS for Music All Company Meeting

At the PRS for Music All Company Meeting, we delivered a masterclass titled “Making Music with AI.” This session was central to DAACI’s mission in the Music and AI landscape. As PRS for Music aptly puts it, “Music wouldn’t exist without the work of songwriters, composers, and publishers.” We couldn’t agree more, and this belief drives our efforts to keep the human artist at the heart of our ecosystem.

During the masterclass, we discussed the direct impact of AI on PRS members, sharing insights into how and why we’ve built our technology differently. Our team, many of whom are lifelong members of PRS, answered questions, offered solutions, and explored what the future of music and AI means for the community. It was an engaging session that highlighted our dedication to advocating for the rights and roles of music creators in an AI-driven world.

PRS for Music Members Meeting

Following the all company meeting, DAACI CEO Rachel Lyske joined Declan McGlynn (Director of Communications – Voice-Swap) and ilā Kamalagharan (Artist and Producer) on the panel for “PRS Explores: Composing with AI” at the PRS for Music London Members’ Day.

The discussion delved into the potential of AI tools to enhance and aid human music creation, covering topics such as stem splitting, ideation, and voice and lyric synthesis. The panel facilitated a stimulating and enriching dialogue on how music creators can responsibly integrate AI into their creative processes. The insights shared underscored how technological advancements can complement and elevate the artistic endeavours of songwriters, composers, and producers.

We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to these important discussions and look forward to continuing our collaboration with PRS for Music and its members.

Stay tuned for more updates on our ongoing efforts to shape the future of music and AI.
